Up for Auction...

Up for auction: one of my all time fav. jewelry creations....a lovely necklace made from bits & baubles...
Created from vintage costume jewelry tidbits & other odds & ends... Including a tiny brass lipstick tube, a glass umbrella, brass tag, an itty bitty key charm & purple vintage rhinestone accents.

The little lipstick tube is the greatest! It even opens to reveal some very old, very dry (like a crayon), very orangy red lipstick :)

A versatile & fun piece; looks great with jeans or wear it with a ball-gown; either way, you will be sure to get some conversations started :)
It is part of the Idaho Botanical Garden annual online auction: all proceeds to benefit the garden :)

The auction closes on December 20th; just in time for holiday gift giving... Check out all the items; everything from garden gifts, dinner certificates, travel packages, and much more. And what a great way to shop for the Holidays; find the perfect present for everyone on your list, without fighting the crowds and all know that your dollars will help support the garden's programs.

Happy Bidding!!

Festival of Trees

The Boise Festival of Trees opens today!  For a complete list of events; visit  http://www.saintalphonsus.org/Foundation-FOT-tree-details.html

This year I decided to donate a wreath; made of squiggly copper--upcycled from the scrap yard.  It was a bit of a chore to polish it up again, but well work the effort in the end.
Light & airy, accents include snowflake shaped crystals, pearls in white, cream, & burgundy, organza ribbons, & a vintage rhinestone bauble...
I'm not sure how it all works, as this is my first year, but I think you can vote for your fav. wreath (hint hint)And they will all be auctioned off, with the proceeds benefiting St Alphonsus.  So, put in a bid & take this crazy copper sparkly-ness home with you for the holidays :)
The Festival opens today at the Boise Center on the Grove & runs through the 28th (Sunday).
Events include live music, a fashion show, magic show, and of course visiting with Santa; you can even bring the kids down for breakfast with Santa :)  Check out the link above for all the details.

Grab a hot cup of coffee at Tully's right across the street--and see some of my other sculptures, btw--and join the festivities: sound like lots more fun the Black Friday shopping to me :)
